Jefferson College\u2019s Conflict &amp; Resolution Studies department\u2019s Hanson summer research grant in 2023. This resulted in my making a feature-length documentary entitled <em>The Lost Generations: Experiences of the Lebanese Diaspora in the United States<\/em>. Throughout this project, I conducted historical research, interviewed participants on their immigration experiences while recording sound and video, and edited the film. This is a very personal project for me because of my Lebanese heritage. Through interviews with other students who went on the trip as well as my perspective, I helped to challenge many of the stereotypes that the Western world tends to associate with Africa to offer a more nuanced perspective of this unique region.
